{"id":652,"date":"2012-06-27T13:52:04","date_gmt":"2012-06-27T11:52:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.zitnik.si\/?p=652"},"modified":"2012-06-27T13:52:04","modified_gmt":"2012-06-27T11:52:04","slug":"caise-conference-day-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.zitnik.si\/?p=652","title":{"rendered":"CAiSE Conference, Day 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today I woke up early to finish my presentation I had at 9:30 at the Doctoral Consortium &#8211; <strong>Collective Ontology-based Information Extraction using Probabilistic Graphical Models<\/strong> (Slavko Zitnik, <em>University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Computer and Information Science, Slovenia<\/em>):<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"width: 600px; height: 350px;\" src=\"http:\/\/docs.google.com\/gview?url=http:\/\/zitnik.si\/temp\/caise2012\/caisedr2012_slavko.pdf&amp;embedded=true\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"320\" height=\"240\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I also listened to other PhD candidates later:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Participatory Quality Management of Ontologies in Enterprise Modelling<\/strong> (Nadejda Alkhaldi, <em>VUB university of Brussels, Belgium)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Towards a new generation of security requirements definition methodology using ontologies<\/strong> (Amina Souag, <em>Universit\u00e9 de Paris1 Panth\u00e9on-Sorbonne, France<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Towards Automation of Enterprise Architecture Model Maintenance<\/strong> (Matthias Farwick, <em>University of Innsbruck, Austria)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Software Component Allocation in Distributed Development Settings<\/strong> (Tommi Kramer, <em>University of Mannheim, Germany)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Inconsistency Detection and Repair for Heterogeneous Multimodels<\/strong> (Reza Gorgan Mohammadi<em>AUT, Islamic Republic of Iran<\/em>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For the session after lunch I took ONTOSE&#8217;s Workshop because there were more relevant presentations to my research area:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ontology Evolution with Semantic Wikis<\/strong> (Mauro Dragoni, Chiara Ghidini) They presented a new type of Wiki &#8211; the evolution of such research from Italian FBK, where an ontology is represented as a Wiki site.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Using Open Information Extraction and LOD towards Ontology enrichment and alignment<\/strong> (Antonis Koukourikos, Pythagoras Karampiperis, George Vouros, Vangelis Karkaletsis)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Modeling the context of scientific information: mapping VIVO and CERIF<\/strong> (Leonardo Lezcano, Brigitte J\u00f6rg, Miguel-Angel Sicilia): VIVO is an american ontology and CERIF is european. They present a mapping between the two and point out problems. For example mapping to multiple possible concepts or non-existing concept on the other side.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Lastly I attended last PhD consortium session.
